Festive Funds 2024
In 2024, Festive Funds benefitted a further 16 groups and organisations in the Whipman area. The Rainbows used their funds to buy plants to create beautiful flower displays for Whipman week while the West Linton Village Centre used the £100 to help finance new signage. Carlops Village Centre put the funds towards the village’s New Year celebrations and West Linton Historical Association used the funds to help finance its series of talks.
Summer Fayre
In June 2024, The Knot was delighted to support West Linton Primary School’s Summer Fun Day by sponsoring the bouncy castle. This was one of many activities which the children enjoyed over the course of a very special day.
Festive Funds 2023
In December 2023, The Knot’s first Festive Fund campaign awarded 15 local groups and organisations £100 each. The funds were used for a range of good causes, which included helping to fund the Whipman Christmas tree and the West Linton Christmas Lights, a day of music therapy for Caregivers Connected, and contributing to the bus hire for the Tuesday Afternoon Club’s summer outing.
Christmas Fayre
West Linton Primary School’s Eco Committee have run a stall at the school’s Christmas Fayre for the last two years selling goods which the children have selected specially from The Knot. With all proceeds going back to the Eco Committee, this initiative brings recycling and reusing to life for the pupils.
